Chiaki’s Journey Season 1 was such a hit, our Acura client came back to us asking for a second season. So to continue celebrating the return of Acura’s storied Type S performance line, we knew Chiaki’s story had to deepen.
For the second season, she had to overcome her fears from the past while teaching uncle Nobu to embrace the future. There were new cars, bigger stakes, and an even bigger secret to uncover.
A new season also called for fresh design. We opted for a vibrant color palette, designed an in-house katakana typeface, and created over 100 unique pieces for OOH alone.
All-in-all the series was Acura’s most successful campaign to date and gained 530,000,000 views in total. And the icing on the cake–a Gold Effie for Art Direction, Design Craft.
